Fall and Winter, Time to budget for a Spring or Summer Vacation

While leaves are falling and it’s getting darker earlier, think about where you want to spend your summer. No matter where you go, this will make money and planning. Set a budget for transportation, lodging, food, and entertainment. Research average cost for airfare, train, bus, etc., hotel, bed and breakfast, condos to get the best understanding to how much you will need.

Determine total budget and divide by how many months/per paycheck until your trip.

Example: My 4 day NYC trip in June = $2500

Rent a Condo: $1000

Airfare: $500

Food: $500

Other/Entertainment: $500

I’ve been going to New York city every year since 2014 so I have 12 months to save ~$210.00 a month to go again next year! 🙂
